Abstract

The aim of the present research was to identify strategies for developing physical education curricula in schools through innovative technologies. The research method was qualitative using content analysis technique. Participants included 16 experts (9 physical education specialists, 3 technology specialists, 3 university professors, and 1 physical education journal editor).Sampling continued until data saturation was reached. Research tools included in-depth semi-structured interviews.Validity was assessed through member checking, information path review, long-term engagement, and continuous comparison; reliability was assessed using test-retest reliability.Data were analyzed using open coding method to identify and extract sub-themes and main themes of strategies for developing physical education curricula in schools through innovative technologies.Ultimately, 10 effective strategies were identified including providing technological infrastructure in schools, selecting appropriate sports technology, training and empowering human resources, etc.Based on the findings of this research, it is recommended that authorities pay special attention to financial infrastructure and facilities by creating support and financial incentives for users to increase their access and motivation to use technology in the teaching and learning process of physical education classes. It is also recommended that senior managers synchronize the successful implementation of school physical education curricula in Iran with cutting-edge world technologies based on the findings of this research.
