The Effective Factors on Organizational Health of Schools; the Role of Leadership and Organizational Trust

Abstract

The aim of the present study was to investigate the role of leadership style on organizational health with regard to the mediating role of organizational trust. The statistical population in this research was all secondary schools of Fereydonshahr city. 90 schools were randomly selected as a statistical sample. 90 principals and 195 teachers answered the questions of the questionnaire. The data of this research was collected through standard questionnaires and by simple random method and analyzed by structural equation model method. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed using convergent and divergent validity and the reliability of the questions was confirmed by factor loadings, Cronbach's alpha and composite reliability. The results and findings of the research indicate that the transformational leadership style has a greater impact on the organizational health of schools than the exchange leadership style. Also, organizational trust as a mediating variable plays a significant role in the relationship between transformational and transactional leadership style and organizational health.
