Identifying the consequences of the development of international educational and research cooperation in the higher education system with a meta-composite qualitative approach

Abstract

The present study was conducted with the aim of synthesizing the literature related to international educational and research cooperation in order to identify the consequences of the development of international educational and research cooperation. This research has been carried out in terms of practical purpose and with a mixed qualitative method. The statistical population is all the studies conducted in the period from 2005 to 2022. In this regard, 38 researches were evaluated and finally 19 researches were purposefully selected and by content analysis and composition of related literature, a total of 85 codes, 9 concepts, and 5 key categories were identified and analyzed during the search process and systematic combination of texts. And its validity was confirmed through Cohen's Kappa test. The results of the analysis showed that the most important key components identified include: economic development; increasing the quality of education and research; development of international political relations; The development of multicultural space, international reputation and prestige. This research provides a deep understanding of the existing literature on the subject of research by identifying the consequences of the development of international educational and research collaborations.
