The comparative Study of The Relationship between Identity Aspects with Life Satisfaction in Students of Farhangian University

Abstract

The purpose of this study was  investigate the relationship betweenidentity aspects with lifesatisfaction in students ofFarhangian University. Participants were 200  Students ( including 121 female and 79 male ) of Farhangian University in Hamedan city  who were selected by stratified random sampling In this study used of  the Aspects Of Identity Questionnaire –IV and Life Satisfaction Questionnaire (Diener et al,1985). Data was analyzed through descriptive statistics,  correlation coefficients,  t test for independent samples  and  stepwise regression analysis Results  showed there was a significant relationship between identity aspects with life satisfaction. also the stepwise regression analysis  showed thatlife satisfaction was predictable from personal identity aspect in male and female groups, but this aspect was stronger predictor in female group. There  was no significant difference between male  and female  in personal, relational, social and collective identity ,but females  get higher scores in life satisfaction than males.
