Abstract

The purpose of this study was to model the role of dimensions of teachers' organizational citizenship behavior in school effectiveness. The study population was all secondary school teachers in the fifth district of Tehran. Using two-stage cluster sampling method , a sample of 240 people was selected. The research method is correlation. researcher-made 25-item citizenship behavior questionnaire based on Guy Organ (1988) and a researcher-made 18-item school effectiveness questionnaire based on Chen & Lin model (2011) were used to collect research data. Cronbach's alpha was used to determine the reliability of the instrument and first-order confirmatory factor analysis was used to determine the validity of the instrument. Correlation matrix and structural equation modeling were used to analyze the data using LISREL10.30 software. The results showed that the dimensions of teachers 'citizenship behavior have a positive and significant effect on the school effectiveness variable at the level of 0.05, the effect of the dimensions of teachers' citizenship behavior is from 0.35 to 0.49, which has the most effect on conscientiousness and the least effect. It is related to the dimension of chivalry. The five dimensions of teacher citizenship behavior are able to explain 17% of the variance of school effectiveness, .
