Abstract

Career development is a means through which an organization can maintain or increase the current productivity of its employees and prepare them for the changing world. In this research, an attempt has been made to investigate teachers' perception of the career path in the teaching profession and to answer the research questions. This article is done with qualitative research method and phenomenological approach. In the present study, information was obtained from 18 people, most of whom were working in the teaching profession, and the results were obtained by interviewing these people by reaching theoretical saturation. Data collection is through interviews and thematic analysis was used to analyze the findings. The results showed that the teachers understood the career path as a way to enrich career and manage the career path. The complexity of career management and the lack of attention to the teaching profession were among the important issues in the career path of teachers. Also, the dynamics of the community of educators, career enrichment and organizational effectiveness are among the effects of paying attention to the career path of teachers in education. In general, it was shown that the career path is an important matter and needs more attention.
