Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of reverse learning on students' reasoning and analysis power in writing short essays. Based on the objectives, the present research was of an applied type, and in terms of its implementation, it was a quasi-experimental type with a pre-test and post-test design with a control group. The statistical population of the research was made up of all the tenth grade students of the second period of Tehran secondary school in the academic year of 1401-402, from among them, 80 people were randomly selected into the experimental group (20 people) and the control group. (20 people) were replaced. The data collection tool was Thomson's Reasoning Scale (2005). At the beginning of the research, the research participants were asked to complete the Thomson reasoning questionnaire and then the experimental group was trained for 6 sessions of 40 minutes with the reverse learning method. But the control group did not receive any training. After the end of the sessions in the experimental and control groups, the post-test was again performed on both groups. In order to analyze the data, descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (analysis of covariance) were used.
