Abstract
The purpose of this research was to identify and evaluate the quality of virtual education components in the Tabriz senior high schools. This research is a sequential exploratory strategy type of mixed method. In the qualitative stage, conventional content analysis method was used, and in the quantitative stage, survey-descriptive research was used. The participants of the qualitative part were professors and teachers with experience of more than ten years in the field of education and e- learning in Tabriz city, 19 of them were selected as a snowball sampeling methods for in-depth interviews. the statistical sample of the quantitative part included 385 students, The results of the qualitative part included 94 concepts 33 sub-themes and 11 main themes, which were: the technological dimension of virtual education, macro-policies of the country, educational management and planning, the content of the virtual education course, assessment according to the new educational environment, effective educational design, cultural dimensions of virtual education and learning, adequacy of education budget, empowerment of virtual education activists, classroom management for effective teaching and active learning and media literacy. The quantitative results showed that according to senior high school students view the quality of virtual education is at a lower level.
