Investigating the psychometric properties of Teachers Time Poverty Scale

Abstract

Time poverty is a widespread problem among teachers, affecting work performance, mental health, and even the development of students and schools. The main purpose of this research is investigating the psychometric Poverty Scale for Elementary School Teachers. The current research is practical in terms of purpose and in terms of the type of survey it is method of research was descriptive–correlational. all were Elementary School Teachers of Khorramabad city in 2022-2023, that from statistical population sample group of 420 teachers consists of 264 of Women and 156 of Men of Elementary School Teachers of Khorramabad city were selected by were selected using random cluster sampling. Exploratory factor analysis is conducted with principal components and rotation of varimax method. The one factors based on seven items are obtained that explain 56.03% variance of the Teachers’ Time Poverty variable. Result of confirmatory factor analysis also showed that the fitness of the factors is good. Reliability scale is obtained by Cronbach's Alpha 86% Coefficient method that result was good and acceptable. The result showed that the five factors of Teachers’ Time Poverty for Elementary School inventory has good and acceptable validity and reliability it can be used in instructional and psychological research .
