Abstract

Background and Objectives: The present study aimed to develop a model of parental wisdom based on problem-solving ability and emotional self-awareness with the mediating role of decision-making ability. Methods: The research method was descriptive-correlational based on structural models, and the statistical population included parents in Tehran in 2024. From this population, 382 people were selected based on Cohen's formula and multi-stage cluster sampling method Findings: To collect data, Parker's Problem-Solving Ability Questionnaire, Rieffe's Emotion Awareness (2007), Mann et al.'s Melbourne Decision-Making Ability (1998), and San Diego Wisdom scale (2022) were used. Conclusion: The results showed that problem-solving and emotional self-awareness have a positive and significant relationship with parental wisdom directly and indirectly through decision-making ability.
