Metaphor becomes an effective tool to make abstract concepts concrete. The present research is trying to explore the use of metaphor in"Heaven's Messages" of the seventh grade and explain its role in understanding abstract concepts. In this regard, we have tried to examine it by the method of categorical content analysis. The findings showed that the authors used metaphor 88 times to express different abstract concepts; These metaphors are sub-metaphors under 25 macro-metaphors. Among them, the destination areas with74 and the origin areas with 64 have an acceptable variety; However, the scattering of metaphors in each lesson shows that their use does not have a logical proportion. In the book, there are 75 main concepts whose understanding should be a priority, but according to the obtained data, no metaphor was used to explain 7 cases (9.33 percent) of them. As a result, there are only 68 (90.67 percent) metaphors in the mentioned book to make the main concepts concrete, and among the 91 metaphors used, 20 metaphors, that is, about (22 percent) of them are related to secondary concepts. By creating a balance in the use of metaphor in all lessons, this understanding tool can be used in a systematic way.
