Abstract
This study was conducted with the aim of identifying the facilitating factors for the implementation of coaching in the supervision and guidance activities of educational supervisors in Khuzestan province. In terms of the purpose, this study was applied research using the qualitative research approach and Phenomenological method. The participants of this research were 17 educational supervisors of Khuzestan province, who were selected by purposive sampling method. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews. The analysis of the research data was done using thematic analysis method. To ensure the validity and reliability of the data, four criteria provided by Lincoln and Guba namely validity, transferability, reliability and verifiability were used. The research findings indicated eight facilitating factors for implementing coaching in educational supervision and guidance, which are: Professional competence of the educational supervisors, Professional competence of the teacher, Interaction and exchange (both organizational and external), In-service training, Efficient recruitment and selection, Organizational and structural solutions, Cultural and supportive solutions, and Specialized and operational solutions. Based on the research findings, and lived experiences of the interviewees it can be stated that special attention should be given to facilitating factors for the implementation of coaching in the supervision and guidance activities of educational supervisors.
