Abstract

The present study aimed to identify the factors influencing the productivity of technical and vocational schools within Iran's educational system This qualitative study adopted an exploratory approach, utilizing the phenomenological method. The participants included managers and teachers from successful production-oriented schools across the country, as identified by the Ministry of Education based on evaluations. Participants were selected through purposive sampling, and data collection continued until theoretical saturation was reached (17 participants). The reliability of the research instrument was verified through a coder agreement, and data were analyzed using MAXQDA 2020 software. The results research showed that the effective factors on productivity of technical and vocational schools within Iran's educational system could be classified from of 7 selective codes (practical training, a culture of innovation and creativity, positive thinking, connection with the job market, sustainability, and social responsibility, a supportive and encouraging environment, and finally, efficient and effective management) 23 axial code and 110 open codes. The study’s findings revealed that providing hands-on training, promoting innovation and creativity, ensuring efficient and effective management, strengthening industry relations, receiving governmental and social support, and fostering sustainability and social responsibility are among the most critical factors contributing to the success of productive high schools.
